Ms. Doma Shrestha is a dedicated advocate committed to addiction recovery and harm reduction. her journey into this field began after overcoming 12 years of active addiction. With 13 years of working experience, she started as a volunteer at a drug rehabilitation center and later an outreach worker in a Kathmandu-based harm reduction program.

Ms. Shrestha has honed her expertise through training in Voluntary Counseling and Testing (VCT), counseling, outreach methodologies, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), data management, and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). As an executive member of RN Women since 2023, she advocates passionately for the rights of women who use drugs (WUD), utilizing her strong communication and leadership skills to address systemic challenges.

In her role as the focal person for the NAPUD-supported project “Strengthening RN Women as a National Network by Building Capacities to Gather Evidence on Health and Human Rights Situation and Support Advocacy,” Ms. Shrestha is deeply committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of marginalized individuals and extends her gratitude to Recovering Nepal, and RN Women for the opportunity to contribute to the empowerment of women in the Nepalese society.
